CathayPlay Merch is a line of related products for the Chinese-language independent film website founded by CathayPlay, including educational version DVDs, online sales of the “Film Auteur” magazine, as well as related Chinese-language independent film event-derived memorabilia.

DVD with Educational license

The DVDs sold from CathayPlay are all with an Educational license. This license is for educational organizations (i.e. colleges, universities, secondary and high schools) and nonprofit organizations(I.e. Musume,). This license allows you to: a) Make the film available to students, staff, and faculty members for the purpose of research, education, and any other non-commercial use b) Hold a private, non-theatrical screening that is not available to the public c) Show the film in an auditorium and/or classrooms The above activities are limited to the facilities of the organizations that purchased the DVDs from CathayPlay.
